Jim and Shauna...

Checking out the blog...

In Wood Lake after 24 miles into a stiff headwind

Toby is sure we would have avoided the headwind if we just would have left an hour earlier...hum

The sign into Johnstown, it reads "Now entering 'The Middle of Nowhere' Welcome to Johnstown-Ainsworth-Long Pine" Who wants to read that when it is 300 degrees and you are riding your bike??

A couple miles outside of Valentine...

I saw some cute little lizards...tried to take a photo and they really didn't have any interest in photos.

It was an absolutely beautiful ride through the Sand Hills. The temperature dropped slowly as we finished our ride. :-)

The last 37/ 38 miles from Cody to Valentine there were a few towns and nothing available to us because it's Sunday.

Met Dave as we were leaving Merriman, he has been biking for 11 months. When we got to Cody we met Dylan who is from Omaha...riding to the Black Hills.
Another 24 miles down the road...some road construction. In Cody now...this was our scheduled overnight...and I think we are going on.

Tim is riding from NY to Oregon...he is not enjoying the wind today like we are.

And he is traveling very light compared to us...

First 30 miles done...beautiful ride. In Merriman

A huge thanks goes out to Marc Gratama for helping me to figure out the functions of my new phone to allow me to blog with photos. :-)
Change in plans due to Sunday and available businesses open. We are staying in Gordon. We had a wonderful supper that followed a relaxing afternoon.
The plan was to do a shady in Clinton...Al and I didn't see Mike and Jeff...so we motored onto Gordon. Going to hang here for a while to wait out the 102 temp

Hey Springs, now in Rushville

The first 20 miles had a couple of hills and absolutely beautiful.  The next 12 miles were gently rolling. This picture is 5 miles out of Rushville...see the water tower?
It's going to be hot...on our way.
